Diploma Teaching Chinese To The Speakers Of Other Languages (TCSOL)
Overview:
One Year Teaching Chinese to the Speakers of Other Languages (TCSOL) diploma program is designed with the goal of improving the professional competence and teaching abilities of teachers of Chinese as a foreign language. The trainee teachers are expected to acquire professional knowledge and skills in teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages, introduce and share Chinese culture, and intercultural communication.
This diploma program will prepare students to master the professional Chinese teaching skills, and also train them to become outstanding Chinese teachers through international standard training courses.
The evaluation of learning effectiveness will be conducted throughout the entire training. Different courses will have different evaluation criteria and formats, which will include, written assignments, task design, teaching portfolio, micro-teaching, and performance.
The program enables candidates to acquire essential subject knowledge and familiarity with the principles of effective teaching, to acquire a range of practical skills for teaching Chinese to adult learners, to demonstrate their ability to apply their learning in a real teaching context.
Eligibility:
Graduation in relevant field with HSK 4
