The MBA and MPA programs offer full and partial scholarships. A full scholarship will provide a tuition waiver for two academic years, a health insurance, and a stipend for housing and living. The University Council has established several Rhodes University Postdoctoral Research Fellowships across all faculties which may be awarded for one year with the possibility of renewal.
The Fellowships are intended to foster existing research and scholarly or creative activities within Rhodes University departments and institutes. Ideally a Fellow's proposed work will closely complement existing programmes in the host department.
Although there is no age restriction, potential Fellows must hold a doctoral degree, awarded within the last five years, preferably from an institution other than Rhodes University and recognized as appropriate to the discipline for which the Fellowship is sought. Successful candidates must be of exceptional merit as evidenced by the quality and corpus of publications or other recognized forms of achievement relevant to the Fellow's discipline. The Fellowship will be awarded strictly on merit.
An applicant who has not completed his/her PhD at the time the Fellowship is offered must have submitted the PhD thesis by the end of 2019. In these circumstances the Research Office will require written assurance from the applicant's supervisor that there is a reasonable expectation that the doctoral degree will be awarded.
Applications should be made through Heads of Departments or Directors of Research Institutes.
Hungarian scholarship is offered for Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. programs.
It is mandatory for applicants to submit online applications at the Hungarian and HEC websites. Failure to submit online application forms on BOTH websites mentioned at 3 & 4 will not be considered for further processing. Hard copies of applications and other documents are not required at the initial stage. However, applicants are required to keep record of all the submitted documents along with printed copies of BOTH submitted application forms.

While submitting an application online at HEC website, do attach scanned copy of deposit slip of Rs. 300/- on account of HEC online Account No. 17427900133401 in HBL, Sector H-9, Islamabad. All payments are to be made to HEC through HBL online facility available across HBL branches in Pakistan.
HEC may conduct written test/interviews of initially shortlisted candidates.
Incomplete applications or applications received after due date will NOT be accepted. The recommendation of nominating agency i.e. HEC will be final and binding.
Only SUBMITTED mode applications will be entertained.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan has announced the Undergraduate Scholarship Program for the low-income families. The program is designed to make the students able to have easy access to higher education. Because to eliminate poverty from Pakistan, the students must get an education beyond 12th grade.

HEC Need Based Scholarship program has been introduced in NUML with the intention of uplifting the academic needs of talented students so, as to provide them the opportunity for pursuing higher education with ease and comfort. Student coming from remote and rural areas who fulfill the requirements for the program will be given special preference so that they can complete their education and improve their socioeconomic condition in order to be a part of the bigger arena in Pakistan.

Embassy of People’s Republic of China offers scholarships to the deserving students of this university on yearly basis. The purpose is to encourage Confucius Institute at National University of Modern Languages (NUML) in order to strengthen research on the relationship between China and Pakistan, assist students belonging to low-income families so as to complete their studies and train young talent to promote the friendship between two countries.
NUML Support Fund has been established to extend financial assistance to under privileged and needy students of the university and to contribute towards elimination of illiteracy from the country. This initiative has been supported by number of employees who generously support to the fund through donations & ‘Zakat’.
Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology has launched "Talented Young Scientists Visiting Program".
